Does the microchip expire?
In the packaging, there is an expiry date for the microchip, but it only pertains to implantation, not reunification.
How do I find out if a microchip is from Save This Life?
Microchips that begin with 991 or 900164 may be Save This Life microchips. Other than that, it's a different brand. Please use this link to check.
Why can't I find the microchip on Google?
There are two reasons for that:
- The microchip is not registered in Save This Life yet
- An issue specific to the microchip number is occurring. (No worries, we can fix it!)
In the event your microchip has been registered and can't be found on Google, please fill out this form, and we will fix it as soon as possible.
*Note: If your microchip isn't searchable in google your PET is still protected and registered in our database and can be found.
Your Save This Life account can be used to register your microchip if it is not yet registered. If you don't have an account, you can always get a new account.
Can I transfer ownership of my pet to someone else?
Yes, you can. If you fill out this form, your Save This Life account will be transferred to the new owner, and new credentials will be sent to them.
